(242) 露のぼる蘆の若葉に月さえて秋をあらそふ難波江の浦

難波の入り江では蘆の葉先についた露とさえた月とが秋の情緒を争っています

In the Naniwa Bay, the dew on the tips of the reed leaves and the bright moon compete for autumn atmosphere.

露のぼる：露が葉先に着くさまをいう。

(243) 掬びあぐる泉にすめる月影は手にもとられぬ鏡なりけり

掬いあげた泉の水に映る月影は手にとることができない鏡のようなものです

The moonlight reflected in the water from the spring that I scooped up is like a mirror that can't be touched.

(244) 掬ぶ手に涼しき影を慕ふかな清水に宿る夏の夜の月

澄んだ水に夏の夜の月が宿り、すくう手に涼しげな影を落とします。

The moon on a summer night dwells in the clear water, casting a cool shadow in the hand that scoops it up.

 

(245) 夏の夜も小笹が原に霜ぞ置く月の光のさえしわたれば

月の光がさえわたれば、夏の夜も小笹が原に霜がおります

If the moonlight shines through Ozasagahara, there will be frost even on summer nights.

 

(246) 山川の岩にせかれて散る波を霰と見する夏の夜の月

渓流の波が岩に砕け散るのが、夏の夜の月に照らされて霰のように見えます

The waves of a mountain stream crashing against the rocks look like hailstones when lit by the moon on a 

summer night.
